Urdu Tafseer & Hadith Studies

Audience
Mature Learners
Duration

Language

A great deal of the world's classical Qur'anic scholarship is available in Urdu, and much of it assumes a background that adult learners do not always have. This track makes that material accessible without flattening it.

Lessons pair the study of Tafseer with the study of Hadith — the sayings and actions of the Prophet, peace be upon him — because the two are read together in practice. Sessions are taught in fluent Urdu and move at the pace of the learner.

It is intended for mature learners who want depth: the reasoning behind an interpretation, and how a report is judged authentic or weak before it is relied upon.

Who it's for
  • Urdu-speaking adults who want to study Tafseer seriously
  • Learners who have heard the material but never studied it properly
  • Parents who want to be able to explain the Qur'an at home
  • Anyone wanting to understand how Hadith are classified
  • Older students seeking study closer to classical works

Frequently asked questions

How much Urdu do I need?

Enough to follow a lesson in Urdu. The teacher explains terminology as it comes up, so a learner comfortable in conversational Urdu can keep up.

Are Hadith studied separately from Tafseer?

They are studied together. A passage is understood from the Qur'anic text, then read alongside relevant narrations so the two explanations inform one another.

Is this for beginners?

It is aimed at mature learners who want depth. Beginners can still start, but the course assumes an interest in study rather than first steps in Arabic.

How are lessons scheduled?

One-on-one sessions are booked to your local timezone during signup.
